The platform is designed to help companies of all sizes access fuss-free ways of selling online worldwide using local payment methods. Tienda Pago Tienda Pago provides short term loans to corner shops that are in the base of the Economic Pyramid in Mexico and Peru. With loans starting from 50 US per week, Tienda Pago, provides a unique offer to store owners that matches the store’s cash cycle. Presenters Valeria Vahorovska - Co-Founder and CEO - Fondy  Valeria is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fondy, an innovative online payments solution with global coverage and an ever expanding portfolio. With over 8 years of experience in financial services, Valeria is an innovative key player in FinTech, committed to channelling her influence to support and increase inclusion within the eCommerce space. Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in nurturing passion and innovative advancements in today's world, so for Valeria entrepreneurs are the biggest drivers of the economy. In support of this, she developed an educational platform for those who want to start and scale their businesses. The core aim being to transfer valuable knowledge to those wanting to start a business or scale one.An ambassador of the European Women Payments Network and a proactive champion of women in FinTech, Valeria works with the EWPN to support and mentor many other women entrepreneurs.   Alvin Ho - President - Air8    Alvin is President of Air8, a fintech company engaged in cross-border trade financing for the apparel and general merchandise industries whose vision is to nurture SME suppliers in emerging economies by giving them the insights and access to funding they need to grow and prosper. Alvin joined Air8 in January 2022 and has over 20 years of experience in finance, business development and sales in both banking, fintech and MNCs. Most recently, he was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Cash Management for China at Deutsche Bank where he led an integrated business unit of more than 50 key personnel across sales, product management, and service management. He was also responsible for spearheading the digital transformation of the China corporate banking business with various innovation initiatives involving robotic process automation, machine learning, data analytics and blockchain. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Alvin has held various senior trade finance roles at Ant Financial, Dianrong and Standard Chartered Bank. He began his career at Agilent Technologies and Armstrong Industrial Corp before moving into financial services.  Alvin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Technopreneurship from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Science (Industrial & Systems Engineering) also from the National University of Singapore, and has an MBA from INSEAD.    Shalabh Moonat - VP Global Partnerships and Marketplace - Builder.ai Shalabh Moonat has overall responsibility for Global Partnerships and Marketplace at Builder.ai. With 20 years of experience in enterprise software, he specializes in helping customers find the right technology and processes to support digital transformations and ongoing digital success. His expertise includes low-code and no-code application development, process automation, RPA, and custom applications development platforms. He has led high performance teams and growth at Appian, Bizagi, and Unqork.     Dan Cohen - CEO and Founder - Tienda Pago Dan Cohen has +25 financial services in LATAM and NY. CEO and C positions at large distribution companies in LATAM.           Zana Tabaku - Co-founder & CEO - Appdec Zana Tabaku is the Co-founder & CEO of Appdec, a prominent figure in the local tech industry, and a passionate advocate for empowering young Kosovar women and girls in the ICT sector. As one of the first female entrepreneurs in the ICT industry in Kosovo, Zana is reshaping the perception of professional orientation and ambition for young women in the country.     How does the Marketplace operate? Presenters Joe Mucheru - President  - JUMO  Joe Mucheru is the President of JUMO, a technology company building next-generation financial services for emerging market entrepreneurs. In this role, he supports JUMO’s growth  goals, navigates the regulatory landscape, and builds the firm’s presence across the African continent. He was the former Kenyan Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, appointed by then President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. He held office from 2015 to 2022. He brings a wealth of government experience and in-depth knowledge of pan-African tech to the JUMO executive team and board. Joe was also previously the head of Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) for Google, based in Nairobi, serving as Google’s first SSA employee. He joined Google in 2007 where he led the delivery of strategy, business planning and operations and was key to setting up Google’s presence on the continent.   Aria Widyanto - Director and Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer - Amartha Before Amartha, Aria was a banker with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (MUFG) and Citibank NA in Jakarta. In June 2015, Aria received the YSEALI Fellowship award from President Obama for his contribution in promoting public-private partnership, especially in innovating rural finance sectors, promoting financial inclusion and women empowerment. He is also an expert in blockchain technology and creation of business models.     Fabio Lazzarini - International Development Services Senior Director - CRIF Fabio Lazzarini is International Development Services Senior Director for CRIF, a global company specialised in credit bureau and business information, BPO and data&analytics solutions. CRIF has an international presence, operating in more than 30 Countries over four continents (Europe, America, Africa and Asia). In this role, Fabio leads the SkyMinder Business Line and strategic partnership management for CRIF B2B Information Global Competence Center, focusing on enhancing international data capabilities that drives sales and growth. Fabio is currently board member of the Italian Marketing Association (AISM) and board Member of Febis (Federation of Business Information Services providers). Fabio spent two decades helping organisations around the world use B2B data and analytics to improve their capabilities in data management and analytics for credit management, CRM and marketing. Prior to CRIF he spent several years in Dun & Bradstreet and XTEL (now Kantar Consulting) with different roles in marketing, sales and business consultancy. Add to Calendar 2023-05-09 20:00:00 2023-05-09 20:00:00 AgriFinance Community of Practice - AgTech platforms Registration is open on the Member's portal   The SME Finance Forum has created a Community of Practice on Agrifinance, a group of AgriFinance experts and practitioners from member and non-member institutions, to discuss experiences and document good practices and innovations in the field. One main objective of this CoP is to promote learning and sharing of good practice examples that help members improve their offerings and better serve the Agri-SMEs. Target audience: SME Finance Forum members, IFC clients, and their guests. By way of background, the SME Finance Forum convenes the AgriFinance CoP meetings every quarter. These meetings are open only to members of the SME Finance Forum. The attendees are senior executives and practitioners from banks, fintech companies, DFIs, NBFIs, and credit guarantees, who operate in over 190 countries. Usually, the meetings have between 40-100 attendees. The invitation could be extended to non-members on a case-by-case basis.
