Cultivhacktion - Indonesia Digital Agriculture Hackathon Event Launch 24-25 September 2021
The World Bank Group, Microsoft, TaniHub, in partnership with the MoA and other key players in the digital agriculture sector, envision a series of hackathons and innovation challenges to facilitate the acceleration of disruptive agriculture technology adoption in Indonesia. Under the collaboration with GIZ, FAO, GrowAsia, IPB University, Data Science Indonesia, and the West Java Provincial Government, the first hackathon – “CultivHacktion” will be held from September to October 2021, focusing on the West Java horticulture sector. The hackathons and innovation challenges will serve as a platform for a wide range of actors in digital agriculture (e.g., governments, private sector, academia, civil society organizations (CSOs), tech innovators, and farmers) to interact and learn from each other, build networks, find synergies, as well as co-invest to support the further development and scaling up of promising AgTech solutions.
The three Problem Statements come from three different perspectives - Central Government, Provincial Government and Private sector on the use of data. Participants will be invited to submit solutions around three broad themes that reflect challenges faced by the central and subnational governments as well as private sector actors in agriculture:
Enhancing farm productivity and making production systems more resilient to shocks, including climate shocks.
Facilitating farmers access to markets (finance, input, output).
Supporting public sector decision-making.
The call for Proposal Submissions will close on October 5, 2021.

AECM Virtual Annual Event: Guarantees for economic recovery and to foster sustainable investments
AECM was founded in 1992 under the Belgian Association Act (AECM is an International Non-Profit Association – I.N.P.A.). It operates as an open, democratic organization, independent of any political or financial group. AECM’s members are mutual, private sector guarantee schemes as well as public institutions (guarantee funds or development banks with a guarantee division) that provide loan guarantees for SMEs.
AECM is going to organize its virtual annual event this year from September 22 to 24, 2021. AECM holds every year an event which comprises the annual meeting of the General Assembly and a seminar: every year they choose a subject that is of interest for their members and they set up a conference program with high-level speakers from the European institutions, supranational bodies, guarantee institutions from all over the world and representatives from our member organizations. And this year’s subject is “Guarantees for economic recovery and to foster sustainable investment’’.
Our CEO, Matthew Gamser, will attend the event as a guest speaker.

FCI 53rd Virtual Annual Meeting 2021
FCI is the Global Representative Body for Factoring and Financing of Open Account Domestic and International Trade Receivables. The FCI 53rd Virtual Annual Meeting 2021 will be the place to be in September for all Open Account Receivables Finance professionals. 10x1000 FLEX for Inclusion Event
Ant Financial is a Chinese online payment services provider that enables individuals and businesses to execute online secure payments. Ant Group aims to create the infrastructure and platform to support the digital transformation of the service industry. It strives to enable all consumers and small businesses to have equal access to financial and other services that are inclusive, green and sustainable.
The new global program, the Fintech Foundation Program Flex along with 10x1000 Global Partners Network, will be announced at the event. This new Flex program and provide details on how one can qualify for enrollment. It will also spotlight several 10x1000 alumni and their inspiring stories.
10x1000 Tech for Inclusion is an open and global fintech training platform that enables learners to become drivers of digital economic growth.
