Members Only Study Visit to Funding Circle
Join us on October 9th for the Global SME Finance Forum 2019 to access study visits to financial institutions and fintechs for the opportunity to learn best practices from highly respected peers.
Funding Circle is a global SME loans platform, connecting SMEs who want to borrow with investors who want to lend in the UK, US, Germany and the Netherlands. Since launching in 2010, investors have lent more than $10bn to 72,000 businesses globally. During this interactive study tour, we will take you on board the journey of how we connect small businesses with global capital pools, boosting economic growth and employment. We will look into market developments, the platformization of financial services as well as the increasing interest in the SME asset class.

This Study Visit will present how ING innovates and how they transformed the organization to an agile way of working. Participants will visit ING Labs, which brings disruptive ideas to market by combining our knowledge and network with the knowledge and skills of others.

Members Only Study Visit to Medical Credit Fund
Join us on October 9th for the Global SME Finance Forum 2019 to access study visits to financial institutions and fintechs for the opportunity to learn best practices from highly respected peers.
The Medical Credit Fund (MCF) is the first and only fund dedicated to providing loans to SMEs in the health sector in Africa. MCF works to reduce investment risks for health SMEs through an innovative, integrated approach that combines financing with technical assistance supporting business and quality improvement. During the first part of the Study Tour you will discover how MCF innovates financing for health SMEs in Africa. This part will feature an African fintech example, followed by a session on financing quality improvement and measuring the impact of healthcare investments. The second part of the tour will feature two live demo’s by industry experts on digital solutions for healthcare in Africa showing how people can access, save and pay for healthcare in Africa using their mobile phone, followed by a demo on digital result-based financing to improve maternal health.

Members Only Study Visit to Rabobank
Join us on October 9th for the Global SME Finance Forum 2019 to access study visits to financial institutions and fintechs for the opportunity to learn best practices from highly respected peers.
Rabobank is a cooperative bank, with more than a hundred local Rabobanks in the Netherlands, which each operate with a high degree of independence, focusing on international business and rural activities and on the Food and Agri sector. The study visit will cover the manner in which Rabobank serves the SME segment, how it organises and re-invents itself to serve its clients on their needs. There will be the focal point of an interactive presentation provided by a Senior manager SME banking (tbd). Given Rabobank’s specifc focus on Food & Agri banking (both internationally and domestically), special attention to this subject will be given with presentations by senior managers.

Join us on October 9th for the Global SME Finance Forum 2019 to access study visits to financial institutions and fintechs for the opportunity to learn best practices from highly respected peers.
How Topicus makes impact on the society through software. During the study tour we will tell you more about the last innovation in mortgages.The first crowdfund-mortgage of Europe. How Topicus made this platform and disrupted the market. From there we will give some examples on how the crowd can also help with SME lending. At the last part we will give a demo how Fyndoo helps with evidence-based lending. For the Q&A we will invite everybody for informal drinks and pizza, so they can also ‘Taste a dash of the Topicus culture’.

Members Only Study Visit to TREFI
Join us on October 9th for the Global SME Finance Forum 2019 to access study visits to financial institutions and fintechs for the opportunity to learn best practices from highly respected peers.
TREFI is a business clearing and risk management infrastructure service, providing tools and working capital focusing on entrepreneurs. The tour will take about 2.5 hours. The core subject is to inform participants of the development of a new form of financial intermediation called a Business Clearing House. This institution structurally resolves the deficiency of working capital available to SMEs and improves the ease of doing business.
